You have been given the assignment to evaluate an organization (United States based) for a potential acquisition. The business is service based and labor intensive. The sales and market share have been dwindling in the last few years. Prior to that time growth averaged in the 6% to 8% range. The CEO of this firm has been with the business for only several years and has a tenured back ground in manufactured products.
You have been told the associates in the business are de-motivated under the current administration. Using what you have learned from Chapters 5 and 6 what would you examine to determine the drivers behind the current performance?
